10-Mar-2016 Wheels keep turning (we motorcyclists already know this:) and things have turned full circle once again. PlayBike is setting out once more on a full time basis, and from this Spring, will continue to concentrate on local, low-volume, high quality services and make sales of only the very highest quality bikes. Original "enthusiast" roots will still be foremost in delivering just a little more of the very best levels of bespoke service and advice and focus will never stray from the very core of what our customers ultimately require. Here's to the next new chapter... :)

6-Nov-2010 Things have turned full circle and a decision has been made to consolidate PlayBike back to its original "enthusiast" roots. Motivated by changes in the economy and local demographic, a move has finally been prompted to run the business on a part-time basis. This will of course ensure Forres continues to boast its own motorcycle sales and services facility and means it will be able to on a sustainable footing. A big thank you is warranted to all my loyal customers whose continued support has ensured moving forward with PlayBike Motorcycles in this manner is such a worthwhile endeavour.

26-Jul-2001 A lack of vision and sense of fair play (and no little pettiness) by the Moray Council's Planning Department finally prompted me to cease trading from the Tarras site. Now however, our new premises at Kinloss is up and running, and it's business as usual at PlayBike.

10-Aug-1999 PlayBike finally firing on all cylinders, well almost. Planning and 'other' such minor hassles almost out the way, we finally have a safe and sound premises to operate out of. Still a mountain of work to be done on the show-room over the winter, but there's a bright light at the end of the tunnel :)

Thanks to:

Hugh and his 'wee' digger for doing 3 years' work in half an hour. Ross and the tea drinking team (Tommy, Davie & Chris) for a splendid job building the building. Iain for showing me exactly why DIY harling is a contradiction in terms. James and Spen for their enviable roofing, bog-hopping and supreme mud-rolling skills. Mark for very timely emergency roofing when the wind got surprisingly hairy. Donald for tiling and for getting us finally 100% weatherproof. Mel the 'mud mover' for landscaping. And Dave for a great weekend as an impromptu garage hand, sales assistant and scratcher's mate (just when I needed it:)

Special thanks to my Mam for doing all the things we usually do but just didn't have time. My Dad who was Chief Joiner, Roofer and Bog-Hopper. And to Brad, the real Gaffer, who kept a watchful eye over everything.

Finally, the biggest and most grateful thanks to Jules for putting up with me over a very busy summer... for sure, anyone else would have done a runner long ago ;)
